An image I designed to help promote The Salt Captain Gaming.
This is a quick logo I did to practice with shapes and colors.
Another logo where I played with shapes. I get a lot of inspiration from mountains and other landmarks.
This is kind of a silly logo I created to play with shading and light on the bottle. The alien is just for fun.
A friend of mine, Ashley Patty, asked me to make her a watermark for her photography. After lots of trial and error we decided to make it simple with just her name. Ashley loves color and the fun things in life and we wanted her watermark to reflect that. We captured Ashley's personality by adding some fun swirls and a subtle gradient.
In June of 2016 during my internship my client, Lincoln Square Pancake House, held a charity event where they partnered with Connect 2 Help 211. I was responsible with communicating with Connect 2 Help 211 as well as creating the graphics to promote the event. This is an example of an image that would've been posted to either Facebook, Instagram, or twitter to promote the event.
Another project from my internship was to promote local eating for the organization Drink & Dish Local. All of these poster were inspired by local restaurants in the Broadripple area of Indiana. The posters were printed out and distributed at the restaurant's community boards.
Here is another example of the Keep Calm campaign that I worked on for my internship. This graphic would have been posted on Facebook to promote the campaign for Drink & Dish Local.
Digital manipulation really interests me and I think there is a lot of potential for local advertising. One of my final projects for my internship was to create graphics that featured the Keep Calm campaign in busy areas. Instead of buying billboards and other public spaces for advertising locally I created images that were posted on social media to create the perception of our messages being posted around the area.
Photoshop amazes me. Being able to take an image or two and morph them together to create something new is beyond cool. Playing with Photoshop allows me to sharpen my skills and also create some fun things. This is a project that I worked on one summer afternoon when I found myself with nothing else to do. Being able to use my love of Photoshop professionally is very exciting to me.
